"Our sources say doctors at the hospital performed surgery on his finger, and note that at the time Lavergne also was suffering from an extensive breakout of poison ivy. It’s unclear if he went to the Opelousas hospital immediately after returning from New Orleans and whether he was treated on a single visit." Yes, mamamia, it doesn't give the date of the Opelousas treatment.. Sources with knowledge of the investigation involving Brandon Scott Lavergne, the 33-year-old convicted sex offender who faces a grand jury Wednesday, * tell The Independent he was also treated for his May 19 injuries at Opelousas General; among the most serious was a lacerated finger requiring surgery. Lavergne was arrested July 5 for the aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder of 21-year-old UL Lafayette student Mickey Shunick. Shunick was last seen in the early morning hours of May 19 riding her bicycle in the downtown Lafayette area.

www.theind.com/news/10949-lavergnes-lacerated-finger-poison-ivy-treated-at-opelousas-generalLavergne’s lacerated finger, poison ivy treated at Opelousas General Written by Leslie Turk Monday, July 16, 2012 Sources with knowledge of the investigation involving Brandon Scott Lavergne, the 33-year-old convicted sex offender who faces a grand jury Wednesday, tell The Independent he was also treated for his May 19 injuries at Opelousas General; among the most serious was a lacerated finger requiring surgery. Read More- Hmmmm, would be nice to know if he went there first or later after visiting the hospital in NO. I think the Opelousas General visit might have been a follow up. Thoughts? If BSL was at Ochsner until 11pm or so, I don't think he could have made it to Opelousas General. Wonder if he went there first and found out he needed surgery, then decided to go to Ochsner. Maybe didn't want surgery as it would call attention to him?? Do we know if he had surgery?

Hmmmm, would be nice to know if he went there first or later after visiting the hospital in NO. I think the Opelousas General visit might have been a follow up. Thoughts? Very strange. Why two visits? Timing is essential. NO hospital says he didn't require significant intervention - not enough to warrant a surgical procedure. And that was 20 hours after MS was last seen. When did he sustain the nearly severed finger injury? Possible Ochsner docs knew he wasn't being truthful and didn't want to further care for him. They can do that esp if they think a patient is being untruthful (too much liability).

I only ask because I've seen some of our hospital ER bills on the grandkids itemized that way.

I think he needed a tendon repair and that would be a type of microsurgery.

The briefly interesting google facebook wannabe had circles. Everyone hated it. Google+ it's called I still have google+ It's much better than FB. Just didnt catch on Duplicative. They should have gone with a new idea, not just a reconfiguration of facebook. IMO. It gets to be too much pressure, like having a stacked DVR. And if you're going to simultaneously post status updates to 5 different sites, just make it one. This is another way you can tell I'm old. Twitter and Facebook are sufficient for my purposes.

But that's not even there anymore. My name was blackberrymanigloo (in reference to an epic game of pictionary where I got someone to guess Barry Manilow by drawing a blackberry, a man and an igloo)

No, sutures are not considered surgery, can't be billed that way anyway code wise. I think he needed a tendon repair and that would be a type of microsurgery. So, if that injury or repair of such injury were present at NO, it would have been noted, IMO. If he underwent a procedure AFTER that...it could have been due to further injury from MS, injury incurred during evidence disposal or body disposal. When was the truck in Texas? Do we know if he had this injury then? Or that it was even him who drove it there?

I wonder if hospitals down there post admissions like they do up here in Pa? Maybe we could find out a date that he was admitted for surgery that way?

BSL's history & patterns is beginning to really concern me...
Experienced/recidivist Sadistic psychopathic sexual predators are very calculating, creative, and deflective.
Unfortunately, it is often the case that serial offenders will rely on these jurisdictional boundaries to hamper investigations and cause linkage blindness in their crimes. ...
"Jurisdictional Linkage Blindness calculated by BSL in Mickey Schunick's abduction and during the aftermath"
BSL's Home - 1 LE Jurisdiction
MS Abduction - 2 LE Jurisdiction
Bike Disposal - 3 LE Jurisdiction
Hospital NOLO - 4 LE Jurisdiction
Opelousas General - 5 LE Jurisdiction
Stolen DW Truck Report - 6 LE Jurisdiction -Texas
Burned/Stripped DW Truck - 7 LE Jurisdiction - Texas
Brandon Scott Lavergne, is also forensically aware, calculating, and very manipulative.. imoc..
"Would it not be logical to conclude that Mickey Schunick's remains will also be located in a different Police jurisdiction"?
