A missing person case that drummed up worry and plenty of unanswered questions came to a simple resolve, as Pamela Flagg was recently found safe after an absence that lasted more than two weeks. The 52-year-old Breckenridge woman on May 31 left her home for Midland. Flagg told family she was going to see other family members in Midland. It was only a 30-minute drive. She never arrived. Police and family began searching for her. On Saturday, 16 days later, Flagg had contacted her son and said she was safe, and that she has a new home in Grand Rapids. Flagg stopped by the Breckenridge Police Department on Monday. “She took a job that requires her to leave the state, and she was out of state working and just never communicated this to immediate family members,” Breckenridge Police Chief James Durham told the Daily News after her visit at the station. There’s nothing wrong with picking up and leaving, the police chief reiterated. But when no one had heard from Flagg for days, then weeks, police and family became concerned because they said she had left without her medication. “She no longer needs those medications,” Durham said, adding Flagg’s case had “a good ending.” Durham offered a reminder: “If you leave for an extended period of time, make sure to let some family members know so you don’t needlessly worry anybody.” www.ourmidland.com/news/article/Police-Missing-Breckenridge-woman-found-safe-11230393.php
