The body of a 32-year-old woman who had been reported missing by her family was found Tuesday afternoon in a parked car in a Silverdale parking lot. Megan Smith, who lost a leg in an accident while working at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and went on to be an avid runner and athlete, was found in the parking lot of Lowe’s at about 2 p.m. The cause and manner of death are under investigation by the Kitsap County Coroner, but Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Scott Wilson said there is no indication of foul play. Smith, who had also used the last name Stenwick, was last seen by family on June 2. Smith’s family posted a message on Facebook thanking the community for the outpouring of love and prayers. “We are sharing your kind words throughout our family and they are very comforting,” a cousin of Smith wrote. www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/local/code-911/2017/06/14/body-missing-woman-found-silverdale-parking-lot/397046001/
