I know many close to this case are thinking the worse, that perhaps there was criminal activity involved in the disappearance of dear Audrey, but we have not ruled out the fact that it still could have been a tragic accident.
A web search has revealed that certain models of this type of Jeep had brake system problems. Numerous consumer complaints were filed and eight safety investigations done. As were three voluntary safety repair recalls.
It looks like 1994 was not a good model year for the Jeep Cherokee. A design flaw, a missed factory weld, a steering gear box problem all can lead to disaster especially when you add in rainy conditions and perhaps a distraught driver.
However, this does not mean we would rule out any other theories since the hard evidence is not there to do so.
Only one or two people really know what happened in this case. And I am not aware of them saying anything. And of course, dear Audrey cannot tell us.
Theories abound in this case. Suggestions that she did make it home that night have been made by my team. I worked with nurses in the past and know it not uncommon for them to leave personal items at home, but would Audrey? Or as my ex-wife did a couple of times did she get angry and leave in such a state of mind that she left everything behind?
Domestic problems are pretty common place today but do they usually result in violence? I do not believe so, for I have two ex wifes which means I have been involved in many domestic problems, but never once got violent with my wifes. But needless to say, we hear daily of the most violent of domestic events.
IF there were marital problems here I personally do not think Audrey would have argued in front of the kids or risk having an argument wake them up. And her past shows that she was willing to keep the marriage intact, at least for the kids. And by all reports her husband loved his children dearly, and was very protective of them - almost overprotective.
It saddens me to think that perhaps poor dear Audrey could have been found by now, if this case had not become separated by suspicion into two sides - almost like two warring camps.
We will never take sides in a case since our concern is the missing loved one and nothing else. It is not a case of who did what to us, even though it is often necessary to know this in order to find a missing person.
Remember, if you want confidentiality, I will grant you that. As others know I will not post what anyone says in private to me, I may refer to it in a general way, but that is all.
