HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say skeletal remains recovered last week in North Carolina are those of a woman reported missing two years ago. The Times-News reports (http://bit.ly/2rFKMpO ) that the Orange County Sheriff's Office says the state chief medical examiner identified the remains of 37-year-old Stephanie Michele Rodgers of Hillsborough, who was reported missing in May 2015. North Carolina Department of Transportation workers found the remains in the woods in Mebane on May 16. The medical examiner's office has not determined a cause of death. Investigators do not suspect foul play. In May 2015, Hillsborough police said in a statement that Rodgers had previously threatened to harm herself, but on Thursday, the department would not elaborate on circumstances they believe played a factor in her death. www.usnews.com/news/best-states/north-carolina/articles/2017-05-26/skeletal-remains-found-belong-to-woman-missing-since-2015
