Vineland man lured teen girl he met onlineA 21-year-old city man was arrested after officers found him in a parked vehicle after dusk at Giampietro Park with a 15-year-old Atlantic County girl he met online, police said. Eric O. Reese Jr. of Charles Street was charged with enticing a minor into a motor vehicle and child endangerment after special officers patrolling the park at 8:24 p.m. March 8 suspected something was amiss when they noted a six-year age difference between Reese and the girl. At first, the teen told the officers she and Reese were cousins, but then admitted they met online a week earlier, police said. The special officers, Charles Amadei and Michael Kalowitz, called investigators to the scene. Due to what Capt. Tom Ulrich called an “administrative oversight,” police did not disclose the arrest until this week when The Daily Journal inquired about commendations letters announced for the two officers. Amadei and Kalowitz were awarded letters of commendation for initiating the investigation that led to Reese’s arrest. Reese told police the girl first told him she was 18. When he learned she was 15, Reese said, he intended to be just friends with her, according to police reports. After Reese picked her up March 8, they planned to see a movie at Hamilton Mall. Reese said he got lost, so they decided to go to the movies at Cumberland Mall in Vineland and were headed there when they stopped at Giampietro Park and parked, according to police. At the park, police released Reese and the girl was brought to the police station, where her mother could pick her up. Her parents, the girl told police, believed she was at the movies with her girlfriends. On the way to police station, the teen told police she met Reese on the website Meetme.com and the two exchanged text messages. They kissed while at the park, she said. At the station, the girl gave police her cellphone so they could review text messages between her and Reese. Police said the texts were sexual in nature and “very explicit.” The girl did tell Reese in a text that she was 15 but he continued to try to meet up with her, police said. The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office recommended Reese be charged and his phone seized, according to police reports. Police then arrested Reese at his home without incident. The girl told police that, when Reese picked her up at an arranged address, she made it clear she did not want to have sex with him. He did not make any threats or use any force, she told police. Reese was issued a sex offender restraining order. He was held in Cumberland County Jail on $100,000 bail, which was posted the same day, according to jail officials. www.thedailyjournal.com/article/20130326/NEWS01/303260056/Police-Vineland-man-lured-teen-girl-he-met-onlineAttachments:

Man Lured Teens From Facebook, Forced Into Sex TraffickingNORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)– He lured teenage girls online, held them against their will, then sold them for sex. That’s what prosecutors say about a St. Louis County man, behind bars in the wake of what they describe as a child sex trafficking ring. Anton Mark Morris, 39, of 11665 Fox Hall Road is charged in the case. Investigators say it began with Morris meeting up with a sixteen year old girl on a social media site. “A young girl was recruited by him, they met online but recruited by him, to engage in various acts of prostitution. Promised her all sorts of things, put her up in a hotel then coerced her into recruiting others,” St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch told reporters Wednesday. From there officials say Morris took the girls, 16, 17, and 19, to an area hotel. The checked in from April 25 to 27. In the meantime, he essentially advertised the girls as being available for sex online, and allowed men to come to the hotel and have sex with them for money. After the three days police say he took the three to his north county home. When he fell asleep, at least one escaped out the window, heading for a nearby street in search of help. “One young lady was not inclined to participate. So she got out of the place and managed to contact a trusted adult, an adult who contacted the police, put her in touch with the police,” McCulloch said. Soon police were on Morris’ door. “They arrested this guy. Rescued the two girls who were essentially being held captive in his place,” McCulloch said. For investigators, this kind of recruitment of young girls is becoming more and more common. “Recently we’ve seen an increase where people are using things like Facebook,” St. Louis County Police Sgt. Adam Kavanaugh said. “These men who are out there exploiting younger girls are doing it through Facebook and other social media type sites.” Morris’ neighbors, who didn’t want to speak on camera, described him as a friendly man. They say they didn’t know him too well, but would often hear him riding his motorcycle late at night. The 39 year old’s Facebook page describes him as owning a real estate company, though only one, inactive listing was found under his name in an online search. The child sex trafficking charge is not one that’s used often in St. Louis County, but it does carry a heavy punch. Morris could face life in prison. He’s currently being held on $100,000 cash only bond. fox2now.com/2013/05/01/man-lured-teens-from-facebook-forced-into-sex-trafficking/Attachments:

S.A.woman accused of luring teen into world of online prostitution SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a 21-year-old woman has been charged with luring a teenage girl into prostitution. Her arrest comes after a year-long investigation following a sting at a northwest-side motel last spring. According to her arrest affidavit, Jordan Depascalis met a 16-year-old girl in March of 2011 and introduced her to online prostitution. Investigators said Depascalis took pictures of the girl and posted them on a website called Backpage.com to advertise the teenager as a person who would have sex in exchange for money. The girl told investigators the two would accompany each other on dates with "Johns" and would get paid for having sex with the clients. The teen said she was prostituted at several southwest-side motels and was also assaulted a number of times, according to an arrest warrant. The victim was found at a motel on the city's northwest side along with a 13-year old girl during a FBI/SAPD Crimes Against Children Federal Task Force sting in 2011. www.kens5.com/news/SA-woman-charged-with-luring-teen-girl-into-prostitution-199355711.htmlMug Shotwww.jailbase.com/en/arrested/tx-dc/2013-02-16/jordan-depascalis-13010934 Attachments:
