Prosecutor: 'Child kidnapper operated a torture chamber and private prison'They're also poring over evidence, including more than 200 items seized from Castro's Seymour Avenue home. Among them are writings authorities believe were written by the suspect, said two law enforcement sources closely involved in the case. Those contain "specific detailing of actions and reasons behind actions" tied to the women's abduction and their kidnapper's behavior toward them, one of the law enforcement sources said. The author cites his own history of abuse by family members as justification. www.cnn.com/2013/05/09/us/ohio-missing-women-found

Brothers of Cleveland kidnapping suspect speak outCLEVELAND (CNN) - The brothers of Ariel Castro spoke to CNN for their first interview since their arrest. When Ariel Castro was arrested on charges of kidnapping and raping three women for over a decade in his Cleveland home, police also arrested his two brothers, showing their faces to the world. In the minds of many, all three men are monsters. Police released Pedro and Onil Castro, saying neither man had anything to do with the alleged abductions and torture of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight. The brothers are grateful the three women are finally free and safe, but are haunted by missed clues, hunted by the media and receiving death threats for something they say they are not involved in. "It's going to haunt me down because people [are] going to think, yeah Pedro got something to do with this and Pedro don't have anything to do with this," said Pedro. "If I knew, I would was reported it - brother or no brother." www.19actionnews.com/story/22227409/brothers-of-cleveland-kidnapping-suspect-speak-out

Castro loves daughter, will plead 'not guilty'CLEVELAND -- Attorneys for Ariel Castro say he will plead "not guilty to all charges" if a Cuyahoga County grand jury indicts Castro on kidnapping and rape charges in connection with the decade-long disappearance of three women. Speaking exclusively to the Investigator Tom Meyer, attorneys Craig Weintraub and Jaye Schlachet say that Castro has been wrongly depicted in news accounts. "The initial portrayal by the media has been one of a 'monster' and that's not the impression that I got when I talked to him for three hours," Weintraub said. "I know that family members who have been interviewed by the media have expressed that as well." Castro, 52, is currently in the Cuyahoga County Jail on charges of kidnapping and raping Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus in his Seymour Avenue house on Cleveland's near west side. Knight was reported missing in 2002, Berry in 2003 and DeJesus in 2004. www.wkyc.com/news/article/299605/489/Investigator-Castro-loves-daughter-will-plead-not-guilty
