SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - A 23-year-old woman from out of state is dead after being stabbed to death. Scottsdale Police were called to an apartment complex near 92nd St. and Shea Friday morning when a maintenance manager called 911 to report a dying woman. The worker tried to save the female victim, who was dressed in a nightie and covered in blood. He says he noticed knife wounds to her chest as he administered CPR. "When I got here, I thought she was dead. There was blood all over her. One of our landscapers, he called me and said 'there's a man here hitting a woman, I think she's dying, can you come here,'" says Ray, the maintenance manager. Sadly, the woman was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead about 11 a.m. She was later identified as 23-year-old Crystal MacMartin of Alaska. "The officers were able to determine through the blood trail where she came from," said Sgt. Mark Clark. "An apartment about 20 feet away. The officers made a crisis entry into that apartment. They found one male in his 20s inside. He made no statements to involvement but he was detained." Police recovered a knife at the scene. www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/18858389/scottsdale-woman-dies-from-stabbing-wounds
