Good luck with your AC. I hear it's supposed to be 102 tomorrow! A couple weeks ago when it was super-warm (before I had the window unit) I actually got very dehydrated and had to go to my parents' AC-ed house. When I got to my car in front of the Crescent, it was 108° inside. Wicked. Service person is here now, sweating. I've taken more cool baths in the past week than in my entire life. Who does that? Popsicles, also great. Not as great as air conditioning. My cat might kill this guy. Siberian Forest Cat. This is not her thing. She's pretty pissed off. Holy cow! I hope you and Ms Whiskers can stay cool!!!

And hey Circa, could you try to find out if this piece of trash that has been arrested has any ties toBreaux Bridge or New Iberia, or anywhere close within that area?

One thing that is keeping me posative right now is the fact that they have his gps. I think think Mickey will be located bc of this or at least we will have much better points to start looking from! Oh wait, did I say we? Oops, I hope it will be we! LET THE SEARCHES BEGIN AGAIN & LET'S BRING OUR (YES SHE'S OURS NOW) MICKEY HOME!!!! I slept well last night for the first time since this all started so I know its not delirium setting in...but I am feeling such a bond with you guys here even though I don't post as often or contribute as much useful information, I feel so comforted being a part of this board in this crazy experience. I swear I have not been drinking:) Only had a few glasses of wne last night, then slept like a baby knowing wherever she is, my prayers are answered. Mickey is in Gods arms, weather she's dead or , against all odds , but still possibly alive! The man who I think we are all confident is responsible is not hurting her anymore. I just ordered some Find Mickey bracelets. =\ She needs to get back to her family.

Well, I drove to Long Beach and back this morning knowing I would miss the presser. Headed straight to work when I got back. Didn't miss one thing. Whew! Go Mickey--bite the f u c k e r 's arm off! Mama, what case will we take up with this intense scrutiny next? I know it is a morbid thought that there will be another, fatalistic thinking. However we do it to help and that is comforting. Where will we be? I don't want to lose this rapport. Well we have Holly Bobo, we have Isabel Celis, we have Kelli Bordeaux, and Sierra LaMar, Lauren Spierer, and Brittney Wood. So, those we could start on next, but right now, my mind is honed in on finding Mickey's body. Yes. I agree with both posts. Lauren is always in my heart.

I would love to sleuth that and hear everyone's opinions. After our Mickey is found.

keeping cool while the ac is out. Put water in a misting bottle, spray your self, esp neck and face and stay near a fan. Cooling the area around the neck helps pull heat off the carotids, which in turn helps cool the brain and body. Can also do Ice packs in the arm pits, ouch!

This is a synopsis of a book called Hard Candy by Andrew Vachss. Is this it? In this mercilessly compelling thriller, Burke—the private eye, sting artist, and occasional hit man who metes out a cruelly ingenious vengeance on those who victimize children—is up against a soft-spoken messiah, who may be rescuing runaways or recruiting them for his own hideous purposes. But in doing so Burke becomes a target for an entire Mafia family, a with a heart of cyanide, and a contract killer as implacable as a heat-seeking missile. Written with Vachss's signature narrative overdrive—and his unnerving familiarity with the sub-basement of American crime—Hard Candyis vintage Burke.

I got it circa. *********
posted on TD on May 26 by the Adam dude:
I won't go into the entire story because it's way too long and none of you will read.
Sister in law dating this dude who we thought had some issues he wasn't telling us. Found out the creep is a tier 3 registered sex offender with the charge of aggravated oral sexual battery. Here's the link to this guy LINK We confronted her and of course she is all..oh he was innocent and wrongfully charged blah blah blah..shes talking marriage and shite with this dude. Problem is she has 2 small kids. Is there a way to talk to the officer in charge of his case back in 2000' and find out if this charge was from his wife or little girl? His ex wife had all parental rights removed from him and had her daughters last name changed. He is legally prohibited from ever coming in contact with her. He was booked in Evangeline Parish.
I've never had to do shite like this before so I have no clue the 1st step we should take. The last 12 hours has been a shite storm on my wife's side of the family

In real life he will represent abused children against their parents pro-bono. His wife is also a devoted child advocate.

Be forewarned, charming. He will get under your skin and once you see his pic (he wears an eyepatch) and get a feel for who this man is through his writing you will find yourself fantasizing. LOL! He is something else .....I have read everything he has ever written. You will devour his stuff. (and you'll probably like his books, too) ;D Vachss rocks. Thanks Mama. You stay safe was prophetic because it started raining buckets and even though we're high, the streets are flooding. So BSL is not talking! I can make him talk. A patient of mine long ago said, 'bring him out back, nail his d i c k to a tree trunk, give him a knife and set the tree trunk on fire! Sounds good to me. My idea is to allow anyone who has been touched by tragedy to "take care" of perpetrators.
