Wausau Police call 22-year-old woman's disappearance suspicious
WAUSAU (WAOW) -- No one has heard from Stephanie Low since early Sunday morning. Her disappearance has shocked her family. "I do not know what happened to my daughter," says Low's father George Low.
The last time anyone heard from her was early Sunday morning. She was on the phone with her brother's girlfriend, but she sounded frantic.
"All I know is she was afraid, someone was threatening her she told Shelley that she didn't want to be alone," says Low's mother, Claudia Blake.
And suddenly, the phone call ended.
After failed attempts to reach her they drove to Low's house, but she was gone leaving behind her two dogs.
Earlier that night Low was out with friends at the Paradox Bar in Wausau, just a few blocks away from where she lives.
Police were contacted around 4 PM Sunday.
They aren't ruling out anything.
"At this point we are keeping all options open as to where she may be, if she chose to go somewhere on her own or if someone came and picked her up, of if someone took her against her will, at this point we don't know," says Wausau police deputy chief Bryan Hilts.
Low lived with her boyfriend in Wausau. He was arrested Thursday for violating his probation. Low's parents say he's cooperating and don't believe he's related to her disappearance. Now they just want some answers so she can come home.
"Don't be afraid. I know a lot's going on. And you're probably overwhelmed, don't be. Just call. Everyone wants you to just come home," concludes Blake.
