Investigators now say it was a 15-year-old Fairfax County girl whose body was found in Cheverly. A road crew discovered the body of Dalia Harir alongside Route 50 Tuesday. The medical examiner Wednesday ruled it a homicide, but isn't revealing the cause of death. Prince George's County police had said the body showed signs of trauma.
Harir was from Springfield and was reported missing on Dec. 4, when family members told Fairfax police she might have run away. She was never heard from again.
P.G. police are without a suspect or motive. They're asking anyone with information to call their homicide unit at (301) 772-4925.
