[glow=red,2,300]OTERO: Well, I came home after a long day at school. And I knew something was wrong right away when I noticed my garage door open, the car gone. And I went through the -- my backyard door. And I noticed that my dog was outside, and that was a very strange occurrence because the dog was always inside. I knew something was not right.[/glow]
I'm just reading the interview with Larry King last night and Charlie, I find this one thing strange and always have so if anyone has any ideas on it, can you let me know your thinking? Who would have put this dog outside? The killer or one of the family?
It's a pretty important clue, I mean this dog was an attack dog, so if this dog didn't know whoever put it outside, I would think that the guy would have gotten pretty bloody doing it. I wonder if maybe he was put out by Joe in the morning when he left to take the kids to school, and Joe left the garage door open, thinking that when he got back he would just pull on into the garage, and untie the dog when he did that.
But then if that's the case, Joe would have pulled the car into the garage, gotten out to get the dog, and then put the garage door back down, but he never got to the dog. Why didn't he get to the dog? Is that when he was confronted, in the garage by BTK?

[glow=red,2,300]OTERO: I heard. I heard my father tell the other person on the .. on the other end of the line that he needed to tell somebody what he had been doing for the last several years and that he had worked for a certain organization that I am not uh uh allowed to talk about right now. They know who they are. They’ve denied it all these years but they know who they are and they know who he worked for.[/glow]
I find myself wondering what organization Charlie would have been refering to here, that he isn't allowed to talk about. My first thought was the CIA. My second thought was did the John Birch Society have anything to do with the CIA, and I came across many things that I'll place in another thread.
[glow=red,2,300]Um for reasons um known to uh the authorities and to myself, uh my father was uh untied and made to write something in the middle of the session, I do believe. And um once they got that information that the, they went ahead with the killing.[/glow]
To me this suggests a hit on the family. Someone who is tied up, then untied and made to write something before they are again retied, seems like a confession of some sort.
When Charlie first encountered his father dead, and his mother dead, he thought that his father had done this to the family, and he said that he grabbed his father and shook him, and said, "Why did you do this".
Could what have been written by Joe on that piece of paper actually been a "Confession", that Joe actually did this to his own family? And if so, wasn't it obviously going to be clear to the police that Joe didn't then bind himself and strangle himself?
