I've been closely following this case but hadn't placed it here on the forum because I wanted to see what all might come out about the night she seemed to vanish into thin air. Fight with her boyfriend, she and he leave a party with 50 guests present, she comes back to the apartment after she crashes her car and flattens two of her tires, she changes clothes, packs a bag, takes off heading to her boyfriends house after placing 30+ calls to his cell which apparently he had turned off. People at the party see her taking her bag and leaving the apartment. She calls a taxi on her cell phone, to pick her up at the AMPM, he gets there and no Adrienne. He calls her back and she says, "be there in a minute". He waits and no Adrienne. I'm excluding some important times, but I want to say my piece, sorry. Now, sometime between the time that the cab is there to pick her up, she goes back home, no one sees her come back, 50 people mind you, and she leaves behind, her clothes wallet and the only set of car keys that she had. AND THE CLOTHES THAT SHE HAD ON WHEN THE PARTY GOERS SAW HER LEAVE WERE LEFT AT THE APARTMENT. So, now we seem to have a naked girl running around? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! My opinion at this very moment, is that someone at that party followed Adrienne that night, and something really wrong happened, they made a HUGE mistake bringing back the clothes that she had on, mark my words, something is amiss!!! Police are searching for a 19-year-old woman who mysteriously vanished after crashing her car during a night of drinking. Adrienne Salinas' roommates say the raven-haired college student was last seen at 3 a.m. Saturday when she took off from their apartment to drive to her boyfriend's home in Tempe, Ariz. Police say the Gateway Community College student never made it, and her terrified father found her car stranded with flat tires only two blocks from her home. A driver told police they witnessed her vehicle crashing into a parkway median earlier in the morning, likely causing the damage. The driver tried to help her, but she drove away. Police say at 4:47 a.m., the last time anyone heard from her, she texted her boyfriend saying she was still on her way to his apartment. Less than 20 minutes later, her cellphone was turned off. "Something happened between those two short blocks to her apartment and her car," her devastated father Rick Salinas told ABC15. "Something took place." Along with the mangled vehicle's discovery, police say the teen's car doors were locked, her overnight bag was gone and there was no sign of a struggle. Sgt. Mike Pooley of the Tempe police department says there are currently no suspects in the case, adding that, as of now, "there's really nothing to indicate there was a crime." Late Monday night authorities with a dive team worked to comb the nearby Tempe Town Lake. Fears of the missing student being found beneath the reservoir's churning water are enough to torment any parent, but Mr. Salina says any news would be welcome news. "I'm just waiting by the phone to get an answer," her distraught father said, wearing a pair of dark sunglasses Monday. "There's no sleep, it's just a very trying time ... On Father's Day, when I hadn't heard from her, I knew something was wrong." Police said they worked until about midnight combing the lake with the assistance of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Dive Team that has a robot with sonar able to take pictures. "The search was done as a precautionary measure, and we had nothing telling us Adrienne was in the lake," Pooley said Tuesday. According to the police report released by the Tempe Police Department, Salinas, 19, attended a party in Tempe on the night of June 14. The police document says that during the party, the teen, who was reportedly drinking, got into an argument with her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Francisco Artega. Artega told investigators that Salinas got upset with him because he was "not paying enough attention to her." The two left the party and went to Artega's home in Scottsdale, where they continued to argue, according to the police report. Sometime after 3 a.m., Artega was driving Salinas back to her apartment when she exited the vehicle at a stoplight and began walking in the direction of her apartment. Evidence found at the apartment suggests Salinas did make it home. Her roommates told police that she changed her clothes and packed an overnight bag before leaving a short time later, the report says. Phone records show Salinas called Artega 11 times, but he did not answer. She also sent him a text message that said, "I'm coming over." According to Tempe police, a witness who was driving to work in the early morning hours of June 15 saw Salinas' car driving erratically at about 3:40 a.m. The witness said the car passed her near the Rio Salado Parkway and struck a curb, flattening both the driver's-side tires. The car sped off on the damaged tires before the woman could check on the driver, according to the police report. The witness called the police, but responding officers were unable to locate the car, the report says. Surveillance footage taken from an auto parts store on 1002 W. University Ave. that morning showed a slender woman walking through the parking lot at 4:52 a.m. A dark, four-door vehicle can also be seen heading through the same parking lot approximately two minutes later, according to the police report. Phone records indicate Salinas called a cab company at 5:05 a.m. that morning and requested a ride. However, when the driver showed up, he was unable to locate her, the police report says. The young woman's cell phone was turned off at 5:07 a.m., police said. Artega told police his girlfriend never made it to his house. Her white 2002 Mercury Sable was found disabled the following day a few blocks from her apartment. Investigators from the Tempe police and the FBI have been trying to track Salinas' movements after she left her apartment. Officers have canvassed the neighborhood and local businesses, but have yet to find a credible sighting of the young woman. Authorities also conducted a search of Tempe Town Lake, but found "no signs of physical evidence," according to the police report. Artega told local CBS affiliate KPHO that he is deeply troubled by Salinas' disappearance. "It's the hardest thing ever," Artega told the station. "It's impossible not to think about her. It's impossible. There's never been a week where I haven't seen her ... It's scary." Coss said her family believes Artega has been upfront and truthful with investigators. "The boyfriend has been given three lie detector tests that I know of, and he's passed all of them. He's been very cooperative. He's not a person of interest at this point," she told HuffPost. Cross said Salinas, a student at Gateway Community College in Phoenix, would not take off without telling someone. "Adrienne would not be somebody that would run away," she said. "We're devastated. We don't know what happened. She just disappeared." Tempe police have not elaborated on any details about the cab driver who was dispatched to pick Salinas up the morning she disappeared. The company did not respond to a request for comment from HuffPost Thursday. Authorities have not named any suspects or persons of interest in the case. Salinas' family maintains a Facebook page about her disappearance and is holding a vigil Saturday at Jaycee Park in Tempe to help raise awareness. "We are not giving [up] hope. We have faith in God that she will come home. We love Adrienne very much," Cross said. Adrienne Salinas is described as a Hispanic female, 5'6", 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of the sun on her left neck/ear area. Anyone with information about the teen’s disappearance or her whereabouts is asked to call Tempe police at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. A $10,000 reward is being offered for Salinas' safe return. www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/18/adrienne-salinas-missing_n_3618785.html

Right now it sounds to me as if she knew someone was following her before she hit both her tires on the curb. IMO, the video that LE has of the slim girl getting out of a car in the parking lot was indeed Adrienne, and the dark colored car that passed shortly after was the person who was possibly following her. Finally this morning the Nancy Grace transcripts of her program aired last night are online.transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1307/23/ng.01.html

Taken from the transcripts:
When Salinas went missing, she was on her way to meet her boyfriend, Francisco Ortega (ph), after the two got into an argument.
They were at a Tempe house party when Ortega says Salinas got upset with him after he was not paying enough attention to her. He later drove her home, and while stopped at a red light in Tempe, she got out and started walking.
I called her roommate and told her that she got out of my car and I told her to go out look for her.
Once at home, Adrienne packed a bag and started driving back to Ortega`s home, but she crashed near her house and flattened two front tires.
They were going around the curb and hit something, and then just had two flat tires. Who is THEY?
JILL RYAN, 92.3 NEWS TALK KTAR: Well, it was a Friday night. And Adrienne and her two roommates, Shanie Dugan (ph) and Rebecca Flores (ph), they decided they were going to throw a party, just like a lot of college kids do. There were about 40 to 50 people there. And there was drinking going on.
Friends tell me that Adrienne began fighting with her long-time on- and-off again boyfriend, Francisco Ortega. This was nothing new. But about 2:30, the couple ended up back up at Francisco`s apartment in Scottsdale.
The fighting, though, didn`t stop there. In fact, Francisco says Adrienne stormed out of the house, saying she was going to walk home. He quickly followed in the car and he convinced her to get in, saying he would take her home. And he got her almost all the way home. About a quarter of mile away, though, she jumps out of the car, according to him, and she walks the rest of the way. So a very frustrated Francisco calls her roommates and says, Hey, you better make sure she gets home OK. And she does make it home OK...
RYAN: She was actually there just long enough to pack a bag and grab her car keys and tell her roommates, Hey, I`m heading back to Francisco`s. I want to finish talking to him. They don`t really think much about this. They watch her get into her car, drive off, and that`s the last time they say they saw her.
SALINAS: I believe she was driving the car. The -- she was heading east on Rio Salado, and that`s like a -- it`s not in the neighborhood. It just runs alongside of the river bottom. And at the end of the street, where it turns into Ash, it`s a sharp turn. You`re supposed to go 15 miles an hour. If you`re going a little bit over the speed limit, you know, you can hit the curb if you`re not -- you`re going too fast, and that`s what she did.
CASAREZ: And you know -- and we`re hearing that that car may have been going 65 miles an hour.
911 OPERATOR: 911. What`s your emergency?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hi. I just wanted to report -- I`m heading down Rio Salado in Tempe...
911 OPERATOR: Rio and what?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Rio Salado in Tempe, whatever street...
(CROSSTALK)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, Rio Salado. A car with a license plate...
911 OPERATOR: Rio Salado -- go ahead.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The license (DELETED) I believe were the beginning numbers in it -- just crashed into something and then had, like, two flat tires...
911 OPERATOR: OK, Rio Salado and what?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Rio Salado and Ash.
911 OPERATOR: OK.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And facing south. I can see the Ash light in front of me right now. They were going around the curb and hit something, and then just had two flat tires and then...
911 OPERATOR: Is this person still there inside the vehicle?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I don`t know because they just took off.
911 OPERATOR: With the flat tires?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes.
911 OPERATOR: OK, what kind of vehicle was it?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It`s a white, like, Taurus-looking vehicle.
911 OPERATOR: In what direction did they go?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Heading south on Rio Salado.
911 OPERATOR: And the plate is (DELETED)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Yes, I believe so. I just told you (INAUDIBLE) (INAUDIBLE) like, hit something, and like, (INAUDIBLE) off. I`m trying to, like, call. Oh, yes, thank you so much for stopping, though. Someone just (INAUDIBLE)
911 OPERATOR: Did you see how many people were inside the vehicle?
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: [glow=red,2,300]It looked like two.[/glow] I believe I saw somebody in the passenger, but I don`t think they could have made it very far. Like, if you have a cop on Ash and Rio Salado, they`ll probably see them. And when I was driving down the road, they sped by me, like, going 20 (ph) over the speed limit.

SGT. MICHAEL POOLEY, TEMPE POLICE DEPARTMENT (via telephone): You know what we`ve done? We`ve gone out and talked to that young lady again. She said in her second interview that she`s not sure what she saw, exactly. When we found the car and we started to do a search of the car, from all indication, it looks like she was the only one in it, with things that were on the passenger seat, things that were in the back passenger seat.
If there had been somebody sitting in there, we think we would have been able to tell if somebody else had been in there. But all indication is that she was alone in that car right now.
POOLEY: We do not have her cell phone. That is the one piece of evidence that we lack. As far as using the cell phone towers, yes, it does indicate she was in that general area the last time before it went off, before her phone went dead. It was in that same area where her apartment is and where all this transpired at.
GOLDBAND: And not just once or twice, Jean, but based on reports and information we`ve uncovered in police reports, she called both the cab company and her boyfriend many, many times. And I`m talking 10, 20 times in about a 30-minute period.
Now, we spoke with the cab company owner and he said it`s not unusual for the driver and the passenger to call multiple times. He pegged it at about between seven and ten. And according to reports, the calls to the boyfriend number over one dozen, Jean.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know, actually, I really want to go back to the cab driver more than anything. I`m very interested in those calls. Supposedly, he called her -- well, she called for the cab at 4:23 AM and asked for a cab -- according to the cab company, asked for that cab to meet her at the AM PM (ph) store.
Now, we don`t know where she was when she made that call, but presuming she was at her apartment -- let`s say she went back there to change clothes -- I think it`s strange that she would want the cab to meet her at the AM PM store, rather than come to her apartment.
CASAREZ: You know, it`s a really good point, Johnny. Let us go out right now to the owner of the cab company joining us, Tom Simon. He`s from -- the Scottsdale cab owner of the cab company, and it`s your son that I believe was dispatched to go meet Adrienne right that night. And apparently, he is too distraught over this, over what is happening because this is big breaking news in Arizona. So you are talking on his behalf.
But how many times did she call your cab company? And start from the beginning on that. Was 4:23 AM the first call she made?
TOM SIMON, CAB COMPANY OWNER (via telephone): Yes. Our records show that 4:23 is when she first called the cab company, and that conversation lasted about three to four minutes and included (ph) that (ph) just past 4:26.
POOLEY: When she left her apartment after getting in a fight with Francisco, she -- what we know is she took a bag with her. She had packed an overnight kind of stay. She had her keys, she had certain clothing on, and she goes and she leaves. After the accident, we find out that she must have gone home, because she changed her clothes. She changed -- what she was wearing was found at her residence. Her wallet was found. Her car keys were found. That was the only set of car keys that she had, and that was located at her apartment.
POOLEY: You know, that is a big part of the mystery that we`re trying to figure out. There is a lot of unanswered questions. That in particular exact question is something that our detectives are asking themselves, they`re asking, you know, people that know her, what, why didn`t anybody see her at the apartment? You know, what did she do that she was able to sneak in when there were still people there and to be able to find -- to leave all these items there at the apartment?

Something about Adrienne speeding is bothering me, the woman behind her saying that she must have been going nearly 60 some miles an hour. And also, if Adrienne when upset got more quiet, then that also doesn't fit with her driving erratically. What could she possibly have been running from? The woman following her didn't say there were any other vehicles that she observed. I need to think on this.
Or was it what she was running TO that was so important, the boyfriend who passed a lie detector test. Still makes no sense.Or was him not picking up his phone that made her drive faster?

This is becoming quite the case, and honestly, now I really do believe that someone that she knew took her. For what purpose I hate even to imagine. The Cab Guy who owns the company has been posting at Websleuths and thank God for him doing that because he has really gone above and beyond in helping us see the route that Adrienne would have traveled the night she went missing. Hmmmmm.... kiddy• 2 days ago Just to let you guys know people who were cleared as suspects are lying. I someone who was at that party and someone who was living with her knows EXACTLY what happened. If she decided to walk away she WOULD have taken money with her but her wallet was left at home. Its a shame that this girl went missing. And its a even greater shame that people are hiding the fact about what happened to Adrienne. The boyfriend knows something as well. Dead or Alive she is very very very close by to where all this happend.... www.examiner.com/article/adrienne-salinas-missing-tempre-teen

Body found in Apache Junction may be Adrienne SalinasAPACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. - APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) - Dozens of law enforcement officers are searching a desert area on the eastern outskirts of the Phoenix area after finding skeletal remains that may be those of a missing 19-year-old college student from Tempe. Tempe police say the remains found Aug. 6 in a wash in a sparsely populated area of Apache Junction haven't been formally identified but that they have similarities with Adrienne Salinas. Sgt. Mike Pooley says they're waiting on DNA to confirm the identity of the body. Salinas has been missing since early the morning of June 15 while heading to her boyfriend's home. Police say she never got there. Police have searched the area near State Route 88 several times since the initial discovery and returned Thursday with over 100 people to search a larger area. Body found in Apache Junction is that of missing Tempe woman, police sayThe mystery that gripped the Valley for two months was solved Thursday when a decomposed body found in a desert wash in Apache Junction was identified as that of a missing 19-year-old college student. “I know she is in heaven and she is at peace,” Rick Salinas said, tearfully confirming the death of his daughter, Adrienne Salinas, who suddenly vanished June 15 without leaving a trace. Exactly two months later, Rick Salinas received the bad news in a telephone call from a police officer. Sgt. Michael Pooley, a Tempe police spokesman, also confirmed Adrienne Salinas’ death. Pooley said the state Department of Public Safety’s crime lab used DNA tests to identify the skeletal remains as those of Adrienne. “Right now, we are in deep grief and mourning,” Rick Salinas said. “It’s indescribable pain.” Salinas said that he was very close to his daughter and that he did everything possible to help her. He said he showed his love for her by spending countless hours at her bedside at a Valley hospital in February while she recovered from surgery related to valley fever. “My son and I are locked arm in arm,” Salinas said, referring to Nathan Salinas, 17, Adrienne’s younger brother. “We are going to get through this together. He is going to be 18. He is manning up right now.’’ Rick Salinas said he was finding some solace Thursday in remembering better times with his daughter, who loved to read and write and was considering a career in journalism. “There are a lot of wonderful, beautiful memories,” he said. Salinas’ family was informed last week about the discovery, but police didn’t release any information because of concerns about evidence. The remains were found Aug. 6, police said. www.azcentral.com/community/tempe/articles/20130815missing-tempe-woman-adrienne-salinas-police-body-might-be-missing-tempe-woman-abrk.html
