FREDERICK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Frederick County authorities are looking for Teresa Lynn Coie Lentz who was reported missing after she didn't return home from running errands in Frederick on Wednesday.
The Frederick County Bureau of Investigation officials say her husband and children last saw her at their home on Bartonsville Road around noon. They also say Lentz last spoke to her husband around 1:30 p.m. via cell phone.
Family members told police Lentz left to run errands in Frederick and that they began to worry when she didn't respond to text messages and phone calls late that afternoon, according to authorities. Lentz's daughter started looking for her at approximately 6:30 p.m., say authorities. At approximately 9:45 p.m. Lentz' vehicle was found parked along Reels Mill Road near railroad tracks. Some of Lentz's personal items including her cell phone and vehicle keys were found inside the vehicle. Her daughter called 911 at 9:47 p.m. to report her missing.
Officers started searching the area for Lentz with K-9 and aviation teams, but she has not been found yet.
Lentz is described as a 49 year old woman with brown, shoulder length hair, and hazel eyes. Authorities say she wears glasses. She is further described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 165 pounds.
Authorities say her car was a 2005 Blue Ford Expedition with white lettering on side and rear windows that reads "Mountaintop Electric, Residential Light, Commercial Service and Upgrades, 240-285-8795, 301-663-3067 " and has a Ravens emblem on the back.
Family members have no reason to believe that Lentz would leave the area without making them aware, say authorities. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Teresa Lentz or who saw her and/or her vehicle Wednesday call 301-600-1046 or 911 immediately.
