HENDERSONVILLE — A Hendersonville man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the death of a woman whose body was found on the Blue Ridge Parkway more than three years ago. A Henderson County jury convicted 40-year-old Jermaine Deprie Glover on Tuesday after six hours of deliberation. The body of 21-year-old Misty Lynn Carter was found on the parkway in Buncombe County in October 2009. Prosecutors say Carter was Glover's girlfriend and lived with him. Carter was sentenced to between 13 and 16 years in prison. He will get credit for the nearly three years he has been in jail. Glover's lawyer says he will appeal the conviction. www.jdnews.com/in-other-news/hendersonville-man-convicted-in-parkway-death-1.139214
