September 10, 1993 was the last time 17-year-old Angela Freeman was seen.
"It was around midnight, Thursday night, Friday morning," said University of Southern Mississippi Cold Case Unit Director Rusty Keyes. "She was last reportedly seen at the Pizza Hut in Petal, Mississippi, but her vehicle was found in Perry County at the Mahned Bridge."
Police considered that Angela could have been a runaway, but that was quickly ruled out after her 1984 Honda Civic Hatchback wasn't the only thing found.
"There was physical evidence found at the scene that led the investigators at the time to believe that they were dealing with a homicide instead of just a missing person," said Keyes.
After years of searching the woods, river, sewer, there was still no sign of her. Today, after 19 years, Angela Freeman is still missing.
"I'm still getting on with my life, but it's hard," said mother of Angela Freeman, Debra Freeman.
Debra last saw her daughter two days before her disappearance, and after many years, Debra is still looking for Angela.
"I will never give up hope, I can't," said Debra. "That's what keeps me going."
Angela had been reported last seen outside of Pizza Hut in Petal talking with her 23-year-old ex-boyfriend a few hours before her car was found. Though what were they talking about?
"About her being pregnant, he didn't want a child, he had a new girlfriend," said Debra. "He had a new life, but Angela wasn't ready to give that up."
For now, Debra will continue to keep hope that one day the person involved in her daughter's disappearance will be revealed.
There is a $12,000 reward for the person who can lead to Angela and her disappearance.
If you have any information, please contact University of Southern Mississippi Police Department or your local police department.
Any information on Angela's disappearance is valuable information.
