Borough police are looking for a missing Clarks Summit woman who they said may be in danger.

Kathlyn Marie McMasters, 22, of 115 Woodside Drive, last contacted her family Jan. 9 stating she was at 114 Willow St. in Dunmore, or at 827 Main St. in Dickson City, with a man named Nicholas Mears, police said.

Police determined Mr. Mears does not live at either location.

Since that contact with her family, her cellphone number has been changed and her Facebook account deactivated, police said.

Ms. McMasters is described as a white female, standing 5"6' tall and weighing 120 pounds with shoulder-length, brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on Ms. McMasters of Mr. Mears' location should contact police at 342-9111.

A missing woman jumped from a vehicle driven by a wanted felon Wednesday during a police chase in Scranton after he told her he had no intention of being caught.

It was part of a high-speed chase through the city's Hill Section as the driver swerved between vehicles and ran stop signs before entering Interstate 81 south in Dunmore, where he reached speeds of 90 mph in a 2003 Jaguar before taking the Davis Street exit, according to a criminal complaint sent by state police at Dunmore.

He then crossed into oncoming traffic and tried to re-enter I-81, when a detective intentionally hit the rear of his car. The impact caused him to stop momentarily before he reversed into a police car and accelerated into another, finally stopping when a trooper pinned his car against a guardrail, the report said.

Police arrested Nicholas Mears, 27, on nine charges, including two counts of aggravated assault and one count of recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest or other law enforcement after the late-afternoon chase.
