I'm working on this thread because I'm wondering if any other murders around the same time that Trisha was murdered could be connected. It seems that the highway systems that go out of Indianapolis could go just about anywhere, since there is an Interstate that could have been quickly accessed out of the Springhill Apartments.
Even though some of these murders will be miles away and also have some women seemingly being stranded in a vehicle, the roads were obviously used by someone who was able to get miles and miles in every direction, and I'm beginning to wonder if it could have been a trucker who murdered Trisha. The Interstate is much too close to be ignored.
Will be working on this today......

Janice Lynn Potter - Maryland [glow=red,2,300]1986 Homicide Victim[/glow] On April 15, 1986, Janice Lynn Potter was murdered in her home located in the unit-block of Talister Court, 21237. Mrs. Potter arrived home from work, ate dinner, then went to the basement to watch television.
Before Mr. Potter left the house at 6 p.m. to attend night classes, Mrs. Potter, who was two months pregnant, told him that the heat from the wood burning stove was making the basement too hot. Her husband partially opened the basement sliding glass door to give some relief from the heat. Upon returning from school at 10 p.m., Mr. Potter discovered his wife murdered in the basement family room. Investigation revealed that sometime between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., an unknown person entered her residence through the basement sliding glass door, then attacked and killed Mrs. Potter. She was 26 years old at the time of her death.
In the follow up investigation detectives learned that a number of pieces of jewelry were stolen from the house. They included:
a ladies yellow gold ring with one ruby; a ladies yellow gold ring with one emerald; a ladies 14K white gold ring made up of a diamond surrounded by five sapphires; a ladies 14K white gold wedding band, with the engraving June 14, 1981; a 1/3 carat diamond white gold engagement ring; a pair of 1/4 carat white gold pierced earrings; and an antique sterling silver salt and pepper shaker.
In the weeks before her death, Mrs. Potter, an employee of Martin Marietta Aerospace, Middle River Division, had been receiving annoying telephone calls at work. It is believed the person responsible for these calls may be the same person responsible for her murder.
Homicide detectives theorize that a neighbor who resided on Talister Court in 1986 may hold the key to solving this crime. The case is still open and detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department's Homicide Unit, Unsolved Case Squad, are actively investigating leads.

[glow=red,2,300]Ellen Fried[/glow] - Last seen July 20, 1984 - body found September 19, 1985
July 20, 1984, 27-year old Ellen Fried—supervising nurse at Valley Regional Hospital—made a late-night stop to use a payphone outside Leo's Market in Claremont. Fried spoke with her sister for approximately an hour when she suddenly remarked on a strange car she'd observed driving back and forth in the vicinity. She stepped away from the phone briefly to make sure her car's engine would start and then returned. After speaking for a few minutes longer, Fried concluded the call.
The next day, Fried failed to report to work and her car was found abandoned on Jarvis Road, a few miles away from Leo's Market.
On September 19, 1985, the remains of Ellen Fried were found in a wooded area near the banks of the Sugar River in Kelleyville, New Hampshire. Postmortem examination revealed evidence of multiple stab wounds and probable sexual assault
[glow=red,2,300]Eva Morse[/glow] - Last seen July 10, 1985 - body found April 25, 1986
April 15, 1986, 36-year old Lynda Moore was doing yard work outside her home in Saxtons River, Vermont, a short distance from I-91. That evening, her husband returned home to find his wife's dead body, bearing multiple stab wounds. The crime scene suggested a fierce struggle had taken place.
Numerous witnesses reported having seen a slightly stocky, dark-haired man with a blue knapsack lingering near Moore's home the day of the murder. The man was thought to be between 20 and 25 years old, clean shaven, with a somewhat round face, and wearing dark-rimmed glasses.
Four days after Moore's murder, a fisherman happened upon the remains of Bernice Courtemanche about one thousand yards from where Ellen Fried's remains had been recovered. Forensic examination uncovered evidence of knife wounds to the neckand an injury to the head.
Six days later, the remains of Eva Morse were found by loggers about 500 feet from where Mary Elizabeth Critchley's body had been discovered in 1981. Postmortem examination found evidence of knife wounds to Morse's neck.
[glow=red,2,300]Lynda Moore[/glow] - Last seen April 15, 1986 - body found April 15, 1986
On April 15, 1986, Lynda M. Moore, a 36-year-old mother of two, was found dead at her north Westminster home, the victim of more than 20 stab wounds.
Lynda Moore was found dead by her husband at their home on Route 121 after he arrived home from work. Word of her death spread quickly in the town and a day later people worriedly locked their doors, kept a closer eye on their children and followed the news reports closely.
Increasingly, investigators and the public alike began to suspect that the murder was connected to a series of killings along the Connecticut River in both Vermont and New Hampshire -- the work of a serial killer in cases that became known as "The Connecticut River Valley murders."
Christopher Moore said trying to make those connections makes sense. He said the coincidences are too prevalent to ignore.
"There were knife killings before and after, north and south, east and west of my mom's murder," he said.
