The supportive phone calls ring in as minutes turn into hours and hours turn into days.
"It's a shock, I've had a lot of shocks in my life," says Emile Francis.
Francis knows a thing or two about hard hits but his wife's disappearance has been the most painful.
"Not having any experience in this type of thing it's hard for me but I sure hope she's not in danger."
Nicknamed "the cat" because of his quick moves on the ice, the hall of fame hockey player who spent an illustrious career with the New York Rangers as a player, coach and general manager, cannot even begin to think what happened to his wife of 55 years who is now missing.
"We are very, very concerned about her well being. At this point there's been no usage on credit cards, debit cards or anything like that she just appeared to have vanished," says Lt. Chuck Reed of the West Palm Beach Police Department.
Emma Ann Francis was last seen dropping her husband off at 9:30 Sunday morning at P.B.I.A. in their white Buick Century. She was supposed to return home, but never made it adding to the mystery behind her disappearance.
"The light was still on in the house, the paper was still lying in the bed where she left it," says Francis.
Now the public is being asked to bring back a bright smile that shined though his home and for 55 years has brought joy to one man's life.
"I'm a competitor and where there's hope I believe were gonna find her one way or another and I'm sure she's a fighter, I'm sure she's gonna be alright."
Emma Francis did not have a cell phone or a history of Dementia. She was last seen wearing a New York Rangers red and white shirt with black jeans driving their white 2002 Buick Century with the Florida tag number J-1-2-V-M-M.
