March 28, 2004 The body of a Wisconsin man was found early Saturday on the CTA Blue Line subway tracks in the 1100 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago police and transit officials said. The operator of a train bound for O'Hare International Airport spotted the body of Jeremy Misiadeg, 23, of Madison, as the train moved through a tunnel between the Chicago and Division stops around 4:41 a.m., said Sheila Gregory, a Chicago Transit Authority spokeswoman. Misiadeg had not been struck by a train, and it appeared he was electrocuted by touching the third rail, Gregory said. Train service was disrupted for about 1 1/2 hours. The Cook County medical examiner's office planned an autopsy Sunday. www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chicago/

Rescue workers late Wednesday found the body of a 15-year-old boy who had been reported missing during an evening swim at an abandoned quarry in Lemont Township. "The two teens were swimming together in a quarry full of water in unincorporated Lemont Township when one got out, turned around and noticed that the other had disappeared," said Cook County sheriff's spokeswoman Penny Mateck. The Cook County medical examiner's office later said it was notified the body had been found. Rescue workers were called to the quarry, at Main Street and Kotlin Road, about a mile east of Lemont, at 7:15 p.m., said a Lemont Fire Department dispatcher. Rescue teams from five municipalities were involved in the search. news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=index&cid=311

Chicago and Brookfield police are investigating the death of a Brookfield woman whose body was found inside a vehicle off Lake Shore Drive on Thursday night.
The woman's body was found in the back of a vehicle about 8 p.m. in the 3700 block of North Recreation Drive, Chicago Police said. She hadn't been identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office late Thursday, and the cause of death hadn't been determined.
But relatives identified her as 40-year-old Christine Trevizo-Franta. She had been missing since about 6 a.m. Monday, when she was heading to her job at Progressive Insurance in Deerfield, said her sister Cheryl Franta.
Brookfield Police called Franta on Thursday evening to say her sister's body had been found.
"We had been looking for her since Monday. There was no activity in her car, and her cell phone was dead. We don't know what has happened yet,'' Franta said.
Trevizo-Franta divorced her husband last year in Colorado, and she had recently moved back to Illinois with her three children, ages 10, 16 and 18, Franta said.
But her sister was afraid for her life.
"She was fearful that somebody was following her and bugging her car,'' Franta said.
Trevizo-Franta was driving a green Honda van at the time of her disappearance, but it's unclear if that is the vehicle that contained her body.
Trevizo-Franta also held jobs in real estate and at a mortgage exchange and will be remembered as a "very bubbly and cheerful person, a go-getter," her sister said.
"We just loved her, and we are going to have to be strong for her children. They have gone through a lot in the last year,'' Franta said.
