A part-time student is still missing after disappearing from Ledo's Lounge at 2608 N. High St. in the early morning hours of Aug. 11.
Popovich disappeared from Ledo's Lounge while celebrating a coworker's birthday. Media reports have said that friends saw her leave the bar with a man they did not recognize, but Teonna Brooks, a close friend of Popovich, said it is not like her to leave with someone she did not know.
The last time she saw Popovich was at about 1 a.m. when Popovich told her she was going outside to smoke a cigarette.
Although it has been speculated that Popovich left with an unidentified man at about 1 a.m., Brooks, who said she was sober because she had to drive home, said she left Ledo's between 1:30-2:00 a.m. and never saw Popovich leave with anyone.

Julie Popovich's Body Found"It is a sad end to the search for Julie Popovich. 10TV has learned that scientists have identified remains found Thursday as those of the missing Reynoldsburg woman. Forensic dentists at OSU have concluded that the body found in a bean field is indeed Julie Popovich. County workers mowing grass found Julie Thursday afternoon in a bean field along Smothers Road. It is about a mile from where a fisherman found the ID Julie was using the night she disappeared. That was on Thursday, August 11th. Julie was celebrating a co-worker's birthday at a night spot north of the OSU campus. Police aren't talking about how Julie died, but sources say homicide detectives are making good progress. Julie Popovich was only 20-years-old. Just last week family and friends held a candlelight vigil to pray for her safe return. The Franklin County Coroner says an autopsy is underway. Crime Stoppers is still offering a $50,000 reward for information about Julie's disappearance and murder. That number is 645-TIPS." www.hyscience.com/archives/2005/09/confirmed_julie.php
