Afghanistan veteran and sophomore in criminal justice "Doug" Scott disappeared April 22, while driving back from a night out in Greenville with his roommate and friends. They were traveling in two cars. He was seen about 2:30 am parked in a Conoco Gas Station on US 82.
The second car blinked their lights when they passed him; saw him blink his lights back; then they returned to school. He had a cell phone conversation with the second car that he intended to visit a girl friend in Leland then return home rather than school because of jury duty the next Monday.
His family reported him missing when he failed to appear for jury duty. The car has not been found and there is no activity on credit cards or cell phone. The last cell phone records are that he spoke to someone in Leland about 3:00 am.
