Today on Crime Library I watched the video clips of the search for Tara, and noticed that a K9 team was used. And it made me wonder as a skilled tracker if someone had thought to use Tara's own dog to track her? If they did not, I wonder why, since he would be know her scent the best and be drawn to it.
If I was there I would walk her dog through areas of interest and carefully watch his reaction. And of course search for other telltale signs simultaneously.

Absolutely Bud! As an animal communicator (used to have a Border Collie, but now talk to a Peruvian Guinea Pig, hee, hee) We just need to understand their language. What would be the reason behind not using her dog? I guess no specialized training. But he/she sure knows her scent. Amen.

Tara's dog, Dolly Madison was in "mourning" for the first month after she disappeared. She has since returned to her normal self, but is very hard to manage on a leash. Tara had been attending obedience classes with her prior to disappearing, but Dolly has not been properly worked. Her family and neighbors have tried to walk her and it turns in to her walking them. However, many dog teams have been used that are specially trained for search and rescue. Dolly is not trained for that.

In reference to Dolly and the professional dogs, let me again point out that no living being will be as close to Tara as Dolly.
Her mourning period would have been an optimum time to use her to track Tara.
It is my belief that Dolly is trying to lead the family and friends to a certain point or place on their walks. I have a natural affinity with animals, or perhaps I should say that they have a natural affinity for me.
Thus, it is possible that I could manage Dolly enough to let her lead me to the place she seems to what take people.
Unfortunately, i do no currently have the means to make a long trip anywhere. So please find someone local who Dolly has an affinity with to walk with her.
