Newberg-Dundee police have obtained new video footage showing Jennifer Huston withdrawing cash from a local bank before heading to a 76 gas station in Newberg where she was last seen. Huston, 38, has been missing since Thursday, when she left her Dundee home to run errands, police said. The new video shows Huston at a local bank just before 6 p.m. Police said the video shows she was alone. Ten minutes later, another video shows Huston at the gas station in her dark green Lexus LX-470, said Capt. Jeff Kosmicki, spokesman for Newberg-Dundee police. The license plate number is WXH-011. Shortly after Huston left the gas station, her cell phone stopped working, police said. Newberg-Dundee police are asking for the public's help locating the missing Dundee mother of two. She was last seen wearing black and pink Nike shoes and yoga pants. She is 5-foot-7 and has blond, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. At a Monday news conference, Huston's husband, Kallen Huston, asked members of the public to keep their eyes out for his wife's car. "I ask that anybody helping us, regardless of the area they are in, look off to the left and off to the side of the highways," he said. "I have the feeling she's in a ditch somewhere." The family created a Facebook page to share photographs and information. Anyone with information should contact Detective Ryan Simmons at 503-538-8321. www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2014/07/new_video_shows_jennifer_husto.html

Ore. mom bought sleeping pills before vanishingDUNDEE, Ore. -- Police have released a new surveillance image of a missing Oregon mother shopping at a Rite-Aid drug store shortly before she vanished July 24, reports CBS affiliate KOIN. Jennifer Huston, 38, reportedly bought Gatorade, a package of trail mix and over-the-counter sleeping pills. The amount of pills she purchased were not a lethal dose, reports the station. Huston, of Dundee, Ore., left her home around 5:45 p.m. that day, Newberg-Dundee Police Captain Jeff Kosmicki said at a press conference Monday. She was captured on video at a bank around 6 p.m. withdrawing less than $100, police said. At around 6:10 p.m., Huston was captured on surveillance video filling up the family's 1999 Lexus SUV at a gas station. Minutes later, between 6:20 and 6:25 p.m., her cell phone was turned off, Kosmicki said. Police revealed Tuesday that Huston was also seen on camera at the Rite-Aid after she filled up her tank, reports KOIN. Before her cell phone was turned off, she received a text message from her mother that she didn't return, according to the station. "There is no bank activity. We're running into roadblocks with some things because we are unable to get subpoenas at this time because it's not a crime," Kosmicki said, reports the station. At a press conference Monday, Huston's husband Kallen said the disappearance was "totally unlike" his wife, a mother of two young boys. Police revealed Tuesday that Kallen Huston has taken a polygraph, and passed, the station reports. www.cbsnews.com/news/report-oregon-mom-bought-sleeping-pills-before-vanishing/

Capt. Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department confirmed that no one is seen inside the vehicle with Jennifer, but noted the footage "is not the best quality." "She just handed her debit card over and the attendant pumped the gas for her," Kosmicki said of Huston, who has two sons, ages 3 and 6. Kosmicki said that about 20 to 25 minutes after Huston left the gas station her cell phone "stopped sending any information to the cell tower." "I don't know if the phone was turned off or if it ran out of battery," he said.Kosmicki also said surveillance video taken from the bank showed Jennifer withdrawing cash from an ATM just before 6 p.m. "It's a much better video. You can clearly see her facial details," he said. "Based on her actions, she seemed pretty calm." He said the video showed her opening the door slightly to finish her transaction. Turner, who once worked with the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigation Command investigating murders and suicides, described his son-in-law as "solid as a rock." www.foxnews.com/us/2014/07/30/missing-oregon-mom-purchased-sleeping-pills-prior-to-disappearance-police-say/?intcmp=latestnews

DUNDEE, Ore. (KOIN 6) — An air search for a missing Dundee mother is scheduled as police coordinate their efforts with the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies. The Facebook page Find Jennifer Huston posted Wednesday morning, “We have a helicopter headed up today, everyone keep your prayers coming!” The air search is a private helicopter hired by the family to look for her. The Newberg-Dundee police continue to characterize this as a missing person case and said they have found no criminal element so far. koin.com/2014/07/30/air-search-for-dundee-mom-jennifer-huston/

Search for Jennifer Huston stretches to San Juan IslandsNEWBERG, OR (KPTV) - The search for missing Oregon mom Jennifer Huston stretched to Washington's San Juan Islands on Thursday. A bulletin was forwarded to the San Juan County Sheriff's Office, and deputies on all four islands that can be reached by ferry are looking for her. The San Juan Islands do not have license readers on ferries, and Yamhill County detectives believe she could be there. A cell phone tower ping indicated she may have been driving north. Huston, who has now been missing seven days, grew up in Gig Harbor, WA, and the San Juan Islands were one of her favorite spots. Timeline of events The current timeline of Huston's last known activities had her leaving home in Dundee last Thursday evening at 5:45 p.m., and going to the Oregon First Community Credit Union in Newberg about three miles away. She withdrew less than $100 from the credit union ATM. From 6:10 p.m. to 6:17 p.m., she went to Rite Aid, where she purchased Gatorade, trail mix and over-the-counter sleeping pills. The amount of sleeping pills she purchased would not be enough for a lethal dose. At 6:20 p.m., she went to get gas at the nearby Circle K gas station on Portland Road, spending less than $40 at the gas station, leading police to believe she was topping off the tank. At 6:35 p.m., Huston's cell phone signal went dead. www.kptv.com/story/26163715/search-for-jennifer-huston-stretches-to-san-juan-islands

Local PI weighs in on theories surrounding Jennifer Huston's disappearanceHAPPY VALLEY, OR (KPTV) - As the town of Dundee and countless different law enforcement agencies continue in their search for Jennifer Huston, a local PI is weighing in on the case with his own theories about what happened to her. Steve Robinett is not connected to the Jennifer Huston case in any way. But, as president of Northwest Investigations and Consulting in Happy Valley, he's helped to solve similar cases just like that of the missing mother of two. "In my 20-plus years as an investigator, I've been involved in other cases like this very closely, and I still get chills down my neck. I really do," said Steve Robinett. "It makes me hug my kids close." After reading about Huston's disappearance, Robinett says local law enforcement is fighting an uphill battle. There's no sign of foul play, or sightings of Huston or her car anywhere. "It seems like if it was planned that she was leaving, there would be some bread crumb trail that would lead detectives to where she is," said Robinett. Based on the timeline deputies have pieced together, Robinett says there are some things that stand out to him. At 5:59 p.m., Huston went to an ATM and withdrew less than $100. But just after 6 p.m., deputies say she bought Gatorade, trail mix and a small amount of sleeping pills at the local Rite Aid, and then she spent $40 worth of gas on her debit card at 6:20 p.m. "My question is, if she goes to an ATM and withdraws 100 dollars cash, but then gets gas on her card, what's the cash for?" said Robinett. "She needed cash for something, but who needs cash if you have a card?" Robinett says if detectives find out what she planned to do with that cash, it might bring them closer to Huston. But, perhaps the biggest red flag in the case so far, says Robinett comes at 6:35 p.m. when all signals from her cell phone to nearby towers went dead. "The one main trigger for me that shows someone thought about what they were doing, is when the phone goes dead," said Robinett. "She always gets back to mom and didn't get back to mom. So someone has to purposely know how to kill the phone so it doesn't ping the towers." "It's possible that Huston's phone lost signal if she was in a crash, but if that's the case, I think someone would have spotted her car by now, especially if she was on her normal route to run errands," he said. Robinett stresses these are only his personal opinions, and without having access to the same information as detectives. These are not proven facts of the case. www.kptv.com/story/26157767/local-pi-weighs-in-on-theories-surrounding-jennifer-hustons-disappearance

Dundee police following FBI advice in search for Jennifer Huston NEWBERG, Ore. -- Local police are going through a missing-persons checklist given to them by the FBI in the ongoing search for missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston, authorities told KGW Thursday. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is not directly involved in the Huston case, but advises smaller departments in what to look for. The mysterious disappearance of the 38-year-old wife and mother of two is not being investigated as a criminal case; it remains a missing persons case. Huston disappeared after leaving home to run errands around 5:45 p.m. on July 24, according to a police timeline. Her husband Kallen Huston reported her missing the following day. Police said Kallen told them Jennifer left the house feeling stressed out, and he tried to call her fairly soon after, but she did not answer.Huston's family told KGW Thursday morning they have been calling her cell phone every hour since then, and the calls go to voicemail every time. Investigators have not been able to obtain a subpoena to ping Huston's phone for a location, because this is not a criminal investigation. However, a technical expert told KGW a cell phone must be turned on in order to transmit a ping anyway, so this type of information would not be significantly helpful in the Huston case. If police were to eventually get a subpoena in the Huston case, they could potentially obtain some limited data about her phone before it went off, including whether the phone was stationary or moving at the time it went off, and which cell tower the final transmission went through. Without Huston's approval, or evidence of a crime, police can't get a court subpoena for her cell phone records, either. www.kgw.com/news/Cell-company-not-allowed-to-ping-Jennifer-Hustons-phone-for-location-269424941.html

I've been following this case since it began and the longer I read information the more I think that something is terribly amiss.
The husband seems so distraught, and he's passed a polygraph test, and as he has said, he has asked all of Jennifer's friends if there seemed to be something wrong in their marriage that she didn't confide in him about, there was nothing.
Jennifer has apparently already made arrangements with babysitters for their anniversary so she obviously had planned to be present for that and was looking forward to it. Nothing was wrong as she made those arrangements, upbeat.
In the latest article her husband says that she was stressed out before she left to go shopping, and that he had tried calling her soon after she left the house and she didn't pick up. Something happened in that house it seems that really stressed Jennifer out, and it seems to me at least, that it had to do with more than just the day to day life of a stay at home mom stresses. So what could it have been that would lead her to not answer her husbands call?
Then go and pull very little money out of the bank, go to Rite Aide for gatoraide, tailmix, and of all things sleeping pills, then go and fill up her gas tank and just disappear.
That is a complete turn around of all we have been told about Jennifers personality and the things she was looking forward to.
There is a HUGE piece of this puzzle that we either aren't being told, or something nefarious happened to her while she was out on a walk, a run or just a breather.

Last evening as I attempted to go to sleep, my mind kept going back over the events of Jennifer's departure, and thinking about that phone call that went unanswered from her husband. I wonder if he left her a voicemail to let her know why he was calling. I mean he could have had an emergency with one of the children even in that short a time space between when she left and he called. It's strange for a mother not to pick up the phone just to make damn sure nothing was wrong at home.
Then I was thinking, wonder if she had some money hidden, and that's what she's using now. But if that's so, then why leave bread crumbs behind going and pulling money out of the bank from their joint account, and also using the debit card to top off her gas tank? The things that she did would lead us to think that she wouldn't be gone very long, and had fully intended on spending some time alone with her thoughts, then returning home that evening.
The various things that she did were all thought out, so she didn't just all of a sudden have a psychotic break.
This morning my thinking is that where ever she went to sit and think or walk, someone met up with her. And combining my thoughts from yesterday with today's makes me feel that had whoever met up with her had allowed her to carry on with her day and evening, she would have gotten home if she could have.
Plus, I still haven't totally ruled out her being down in some ravine, her and the SUV. I've put some cases of vehicle over embankments and found in the water in this website now for years, so even though people may not see tire tracks or broken brush, doesn't mean that she and the SUV couldn't have suffered the same fate.

Now that Law Enforcement has decided to not continue searching for Jennifer, mainly because they have no evidence that a crime has been committed, and their hands are tied, I hope they realize that IF Jennifer's car ran off the road because of an accident, OR someone has taken her, they and the powers that be have condemned Jennifer to possibly dying inside her crashed vehicle or being held against her will, with an offender doing who knows what to her.
This is a damn shame. While I understand their thinking, there is still a woman out there who could be in serious trouble and hoping against all hope that SOMEONE will come and find her. My heart aches.I'm With you - Avril Lavigne www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYunO8SZe30

Missing Oregon mother-of-two 'spotted' boarding car ferry alone a six-hour drive from where she vanished after her husband made an emotional plea for her returnPolice believe they have firmed up a sighting of missing Oregon mom Jennifer Huston boarding a car ferry in Washington state, some 300 miles from where she was last seen. Deputies in the San Juan Islands are investigating what appears to be a solid description of the 38-year-old in Anacortes on the morning of Thursday July 31, one week after her disappearance. A couple say they saw a blonde female in her 30s on the 9am ferry to Friday Harbor in a car that matched the make and model of Huston's green Lexus, including a crack in the windshield. However the ferry system in the area is connected to 20 terminals, including Seattle, making the search to find Huston on surveillance footage even more cumbersome. 'If that was her on the ferry, she could be on Orcas Island right now, she could be on Lopez, she could be on Shaw, she could be anywhere using the ferry systems,' San Juan County Under sheriff Bruce Distler told KPTV. The unconfirmed sighting adds further mystery to the whereabouts of the married mother-of-two. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2714725/Missing-Oregon-mother-two-spotted-boarding-car-ferry-six-hour-drive-vanished-filling-gas.html

Missing Dundee Mother's Body, Vehicle Located In Yamhill Countyhe body of missing Dundee mother Jennifer Huston was found Tuesday morning near her SUV on a rural Sheridan logging road, police said. A nearby property owner discovered the vehicle at 10:30 a.m., and Newberg-Dundee police detectives found her body a short distance away, authorities said. Police said there were no signs of foul play and no evidence to indicate that the public was in any danger. Huston, a stay-at-home mother of a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old, has been missing since Thursday, July 24, when she left home to run errands. She was last seen when she stopped to withdraw less than $100 cash, buy a few items at a drug store, then gas up her dark green 1999 Lexus LX-470 SUV. Huston's husband and parents pleaded for the public's help looking for her and the car, which carried Oregon license plates WXH-011. Reports of people thinking they had seen Huston came in after her disappearance was announced last week and the local story became national news. The best-known report was from a couple who thought they may have spotted Huston heading for the San Juan Islands off the Washington Coast. Police in the area later refuted their report. Over the past few days, the investigation grew quiet as police found no reason to believe her disappearance was suspicious. Steph Walker, who has lived on Gopher Valley Road for the past 14 years, said he was stopped Tuesday afternoon by a flagger who asked him where he lived before allowing him to proceed. "I thought it was a construction flagger, but I never saw any signs of construction,'' Walker said. He said Gopher Valley Road is paved for its first 5.5 miles from where it leaves Oregon 18 east of Sheridan to the north. A short time later, Walker said, a helicopter began hovering over his house. Police said they will hold a news conference at the Newberg-Dundee Police Department at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Newberg Public Safety Building. www.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2014/08/body_of_missing_dundee_mom_jen.html

DUNDEE, Ore. – Missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston has been found dead, in a remote area of Yamhill County near Sheridan, police said. A property owner spotted her SUV Tuesday morning in a grove of trees near Southeast Gopher Valley Road, just off Highway 18. He alerted police around 10:30 a.m., who soon found Huston's body nearby, according to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department. They said there were no clues which indicated foul play, but this remains "an active death investigation." An area resident told KGW a chainlink fence had been haphazardly moved and that's what led the property owner to finding Huston's SUV. That neighbor also reported noticing a strong odor. www.king5.com/news/SUV-of-missing-Oregon-mom-Jennifer-Huston-found-270047471.html
