Relatives of an Atlanta woman who traveled to Houston have reported her missing and are looking for information regarding her whereabouts.

Victoria Moon Erickson, 31, was staying in a residence on the 400 block of West Clay and was last seen outside Pat Greer's Kitchen at about 8:30 p.m. Monday, said a Houston Police Department spokesman.

Family friend Rosa Fitch said Erickson was last heard from in a text at 11:48 p.m. Monday.

"We texted her asking for a smoke signal or something to say she's OK, and later that night she responded with, 'xo'," Fitch said.

According to Houston police, Erickson's cellphone, wallet and vehicle where left at the residence. Whether foul play is involved is too early to tell, police spokesman Victor Senties said.

The investigation is still in the fact-gathering stage, he said.

"It's going to be a thorough investigation and any and all aspects will be looked into," Senties said. "We take these instances very seriously."

The family has put up fliers, made a "Find Victoria Moon" Facebook page and created an account at [e-mail] with the hopes that someone has seen or heard from her.

"I hope that everyone can really take it on to help me find my sister," said Erickson's twin, Cat Erickson.

According to the family, Victoria Erickson is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 100 pounds, has long dark hair and brown eyes.

Erickson was last seen in Houston, but Cat said she might have gone elsewhere.

HOUSTON -- A woman traveling the country, blogging about vegan cuisine and healthier lifestyles, has vanished in Houston leading her friends and family In Atlanta, Georgia to flood social media with pleas for help.

Victoria Moon Erickson, 31, arrived in Houston on January 16 at the W. Clay location of Pat Greer’s Kitchen, a well-known Houston source of fresh raw vegan cuisine sold at farmer’s markets and numerous other locations.

“She came to us just to get something to eat,” Pat Greer said on Friday, four days after “Vickie” disappeared.

Moon Erickson had been traveling and blogging on a trip that took her from her home in Atlanta to Kansas City, Austin, Victoria, Port Lavaca and Houston.

Greer gave her a job in her vegan kitchen and a room to stay in on the second floor. Moon Erickson, who also blogs about the trials and tribulations of “urban camping,” had apparently been living in her car with her dog “Jet.”

“The last time I saw her was Monday morning,” said Greer.

On January 21, Moon Erickson vanished, leaving her dog, her car, her computer, her cell phone, her wallet, her ID and all of her possessions behind. The car, a late model Chrysler LeBaron, is still parked behind Pat Greer’s Kitchen.

"I think maybe she's really opted to leave, to leave her life,” Greer said also detailing evidence of emotional turmoil in the woman’s life in the days before her disappearance. Greer says she was showing signs of anxiety and stress.

Her family in Atlanta has taken to the Internet, her brother posting on the social media site Reddit, asking for help here in Houston.

Paul Samford says his foster sister is a loner, sometimes living in her car, but says she's never walked away from everything before.

"When she and I would talk about any of those kinds of things, I would let her know that I didn't think that was the safest, greatest idea. But she's fearless. She's just fearless. She always has been,” said Samford. "We are extremely concerned you know. And we're just asking that anybody that has got any kind information to get in contact with the police.”

Greer says she and members of her staff have also inquired at local hospitals and the Harris County Medical Examiner, but have found no trace of the missing woman.

A missing persons report has been filed with Houston police.

The twin sister of a missing Atlanta woman looked into a news camera Sunday night and pleaded with her sister to call.

"Everyone just wants to know that you're OK," Catherine Erickson said.

Her sister, Victoria Moon Erickson, 31, vanished Jan. 21 while travelling through Houston.

Catherine said during a news interview that Vicky may have just wanted to get away, to be alone.

That wouldn't be unusual, she said.

But she said Vicky has never left without telling anyone.

Police in Houston are not ruling out kidnapping.

Monday evening, the family of a missing blogger, who vanished one week ago on a cross country journey that brought her through Houston, says they have confirmed sightings from both Austin and Carlsbad, New Mexico that she is alive.

Victoria Moon Erickson, 31, vanished on January 21.

According to her father in Atlanta, Moon Erickson, who turns 32 on Tuesday, showed up at a friend's home in Austin on Monday. The friend, apparently unaware that her family was desperately searching for her, gave the woman a ride west toward El Paso.

William Erickson says that when his daughter was asked about the family and belongings she had left behind that she reportedly said "that stuff belongs to Vicky and I'm not Vicky anymore." She claimed she needed to get to California.

Victoria Moon Erickson left her car, computer, cell phone, and beloved dog "Jet" in Houston at Pat Greer's Kitchen, the vegan and raw food business where she briefly worked and stayed in a second floor room. The friend from Austin reportedly dropped off Moon Erickson at her request at a truck stop somewhere on the journey west.

A truck driver also told the family that late Monday, he picked up a hitch hiker matching Vicky's description in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The family, obviously concerned about the woman's state of mind, is trying to coordinate with Houston police and authorities in New Mexico to see if they can find her.
