PROSPECT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Authorities are searching for a teenage girl from the Village of Prospect who they hasn't been seen since November. According to New York State Police, Brittany A. Laclair was last seen at her residence on Academy Street in Prospect on November 21, 2012. Her mother tells authorities that she made contact with Brittany via text message on November 23, but had not been seen or heard from since. Brittany is described as being 5' 5" tall, 150 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes and authorities say she may be in the company of Joel Barney, the father of her 10 month old child. UTICA -- A teenage girl reported missing in Oneida County since November is found safe in Utica. State Police say it was tips called in from area neighbors that led them to find Brittany Laclair, 17, on Friday. Troopers had been searching for Laclair since November 21, the day before Thanksgiving. They say she had runaway from her home in Prospect.
