The disappearance of a 23-year-old Bannock County woman is being described by Sheriff Lorin Nielsen as “totally out of character.” Angelea Schultz, described as 5'9” tall with blonde hair and weighing about 120 pounds, was last seen at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6. The last contact with anyone was a phone call about 9 p.m. Sunday which Nielsen said provided no clues as to her whereabouts. “The concern we have is she didn't take anything with her,” the sheriff said. Schultz, who also goes as Lea Blood on her Facebook page, disappeared with only the clothing she was wearing and a cell phone. She was driving a white 2000 Honda Accord with no hubcaps and darkly tinted windows. The license number on the vehicle is 1BT4665. “We are concerned there may be foul play in this,” Sheriff Nielsen said, but he said there is no evidence of any criminal activity. “It's highly suspicious due to the circumstances.” www.idahostatejournal.com/news/local/article_9df4e588-5a75-11e2-965d-001a4bcf887a.html

The body of 23-year-old Bannock County resident Angelea Schultz, who had been reported missing on Jan. 6, has been recovered by search crews. She was found about 6:30 p.m. Friday after two days of digging up a frozen parcel of land west of the Fort Hall townsite in an area where recent construction on a septic system had taken place. Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said that in addition to Schultz’s body, authorities recovered bloody clothing and a baseball bat that her boyfriend, 25-year-old Boede Paul, used to beat her to death. Nielsen said her body was recovered about 10 or 12 feet underground. Heavy constrution equipment was used during the search. It’s unlikely her body would have been found if not for information Paul shared with deputies before he was fatally shot following a standoff with law enforcement Wednesday night. Nielsen confirmed that Paul was working for an excavation company responsible for the septic system work at the time of his death and had access to both the work area and heavy equipment. www.idahostatejournal.com/news/local/article_7543fef8-6155-11e2-9b87-0019bb2963f4.html
